Work with me 1:1

Does your soul soar when you sing?

Do you want more of that in your everyday life? My passion and skill rest in a holistic approach to singing, in which your voice is seen as part of your whole being and intricately connected to your body, mind, and spirit. When you work with me, you learn about vocal technique and anatomy, music theory and vocal health, but you also look at your deeper why. You explore how to fully embrace new desired habits and shift your mindset to update outdated beliefs about yourself and your voice. If you’re ready to know and love your voice, your body, and yourself fully, then read on.

Singing is a gift.

It is magical, but, it doesn’t have to be mysterious. It doesn’t just belong to a select few. It is innate in all of us.

When people tell me they can’t sing, I don’t believe them. “If you can talk, you can sing,” I tell them. “Oh, I just mean I don’t have a good voice…can’t carry a tune…you wouldn’t want to listen to me sing…” they say. “Do you want to sing?” I ask. “Do you enjoy singing?” If the answer is “Yes,” then we’re onto something.

Somewhere along the way, we each develop ideas about what it means to have a “good” voice, a voice worth hearing. I will tell you now: Your voice is worth hearing. Your voice is powerful. Your voice is beautiful. When you decide to study your voice as an instrument you open up whole new worlds. Your life will be changed, because you will know the joy and the power that come with loving your voice. Voice lessons aren’t just about singing. Voice lessons are about building mindful habits, evolving your identity, and standing up fully in yourself. When you decide to jump on board the singing boat my joy is to walk right alongside you on this part of your path. (I know. It’s a pretty sweet gig.)

My role is to help you:

  • Love your voice. (Really, we could stop here. But there’s more!)

  • Better understand your voice as an instrument;

  • Sing as much as possible;

  • Be empowered to use your voice in new and exciting ways;

  • Pass along a desire and passion for sharing the gift of song with others.

What I bring to our time together:

  • Collaboration and support (think of me as your coach and your cheerleader);

  • Tools to build your technical foundation;

  • 15+ years of experience as a teacher and professional singer and a lifetime of immersion in music;

  • Connection to the heart.

What I do not offer:

  • Performance-centered teaching. I teach for learning, not for performance. This means I meet you where you are, and lessons are crafted according to your unique set of skills and experience;

  • Competitive atmosphere. We are a community, and we support one another and appreciate our individual gifts, as well as the love and joy we bring to the greater whole.

A little gift to get you goin’
