Or, at least not for me.

But this fall was special. I launched a new program, and I invited a few ladies who are close to me to try it out, to learn alongside me as I worked out the kinks, and to grow together.

I'll be honest, this element of familiarity actually made me a little nervous. What if they don't get anything out of it? What if they feel like it's a waste of time? Can I be a compassionate observer and guide when I have deeper connections with those I'm meant to teach?

Yes. The answer is yes.

And, you know what? The reward of witnessing growth and working through resistance with these amazing women taught me so much.

It taught me that we really can learn and grow together when we show up equally for ourselves and the group.

It taught me that we're all responsible for our own growth.

It reminded me that we are always evolving, no matter how much wisdom and experience we have.

When I asked at the end of the course, "What is one of your biggest takeaways from this experience?" she said:

Confidence to take a chance and follow my heart; to believe in myself and my capabilities.

And I know she's not just saying that because she's my mom. I know because I, too, saw this shift in her.

THIS is the power of finding and standing up in your Full Voice. ♥️
